- Over a period of three years developed and ran a finance function for a company with operations in six countries across the Balkans. Created and introduced budgeting and controlling processes, aligned financial reporting, led company optimizations, and managed relationships with lenders.
- Represented the interest of business owners in the restructuring of real estate business situated abroad, holding a supervisory management role. Overseen the finance functions and led negotiations with potential buyers. Restructuring of existing loan agreements and identification of new banking partners. Overseen the split of assets from problematic operations.
- Provided support to a business owner in litigation procedures, actively working on behalf of the owner with various legal services providers and respective authorities. Provided impact analysis of various strategic options.
- Working with a London-based finance and management company on a project in Bulgaria assisting a financial institution in capital raising effort.
- Over two and a half years assumed a management role in a post-acquisition process. Assumed responsibility for the overall activities of the entity and the finance function for all entities in the group. Worked with the business owners in aligning priorities to business planning. Led the overhauling of the finance function. Introduced procedures for key business processes.
- Post-acquisition managed finance reporting function in the CEE region for an international pharmaceutical company. Worked on aligning the reporting process, migration of systems, training of staff, and their integration in the HQ reporting function.
- As a vCFO assisted a business owner in understanding and improving the finance function of an acquired company, participated remotely in various initiatives around the company restructuring, and providing support to the owner in setting plans and budgets.
